St. George Memorare Chapel

Beginning as a mission church in 1912, the Memorare Chapel is dedicated to our Blessed Lady.

In 1972, Bishop James A. McNulty visited our chapel and declared: “ I am now standing in front of the most beautiful scenery in the world.  It is the Shrine of Our Lady of Jewittville, and I come to visit Her, when in great need, and in great love. 

I would not know a better place to come, than to my Mother and I think that the parishioners of St. George’s must feel so privileged, that they can come to feast their eyes and fill their hearts, with a great love, for the Mother of God.”
 
All are welcome to visit and pray in the Chapel daily until our office closes or the final evening activities have finished. Mass is held in the Chapel on Tuesday & Friday at 8:00 am.  The Rosary is recited Monday evenings at 7:00 pm.

On the first Friday of each month, there is Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at the conclusion of the 8:00 a.m. Mass until 10 a.m.
